Attempting to Get Things Back on Track...

I've been away from this site and my standard business services for several months now, due to some personal and health issues that cropped up back in October or November 2007. Because of those unexpected problems, I had to discontinue my private label and custom article subscription services, because I was unable to keep up with them for quite some time. I actually ended up leaving all of my business outlets to their own devices, and this in turn of course created some financial problems.

I am finally starting to pull everything back together though, and getting some of my products and services back online is a priority for me.

With that said, I have decided that relaunching previous subscription services or creating new ones would only cause additional problems in the future. I tried to do too much for too long. Last year alone I sometimes wrote as much as 50-100 articles in a week - and this was the primary cause of my health problems. When I write too much, too fast, for too long, my hands and arms swell up and become unusuable for several days. And this creates production and delivery problems for continuous article services.

Most people think that subscription services are a cesspool of profits though... providing more than enough income to hire out the work to other freelancers. And while that may be the case in some circumstances, it's not as simple or easy as most membership site sellers want everyone to believe. In my own case, the gardening subscription service never had more than 30 subscribers maximum, and the alternative health service maxed around 50. Both were simply unsustainable with those meager earnings.

I did make many mistakes with those services of course, and those mistakes taught me a lot. So I may use the lessons learned to try new membership services in the future, or I may simply put them together into an EBook or course that helps others learn from them too.

At the moment I intend to go back to what I was doing here originally: Creating useful affiliate marketing tools which are sold individually. This will primarily include article content packages, but over time I intend to add EBooks, scripts, WordPress plugins, templates or themes, and anything else that's helpful for affiliate marketers to increase their sales and commissions with.
