Great Ideas For Tapping Niches You Love
Have you ever heard the saying “Do What You Love and The Money Will Follow” ? I actually own a book with that title, and it’s often something you hear repeated online too.
The problem is, not a lot of people know quite how to make money from something they really enjoy. For me it’s really just a matter of creating websites, articles, ebook, or reports on the topic - and sometimes I just create stock photos which go with that topic instead. I figure if I like it, there are plenty of others out there that like it too, so I combine my existing talents with the niche to create something useful for others.
I firmly believe in tapping rabid niches too. There are some things in this world that people will spend their last dime on. That’s why I like gardening for instance… I personally have been known to spend $5 bucks on a new plant even if money was tight and bills were unpaid. I’ve seen my dad and stepmom spend countless tens of thousands of dollars on Harley Davidson stuff. I’ve known people who spend inordinate amounts of money on other hobbies or interests too: Crochet and knitting; RC cars; pistols, rifles, knives, and other weapons - even compound bows. If you’re not in to photography, you’d probably be dumbfounded to know how much hobbiests spend on cameras, lenses, cases, and related photography equipment.
There are people in this world who literally live for their hobbies and passions, and this can create very lucrative niche marketing opportunities for anyone who wants to dip their toe in.
